Sirtris Pharmaceuticals is one of the most successful biotech companies , pursuing drug discovery targeting Sirtuins to treat diseases associated with aging, such as type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and inflammatory diseases. Sirtris was founded in 2004 and acquired in 2008 by GlaxoSmithKline. Dr. Vlasuk has been leading Sirtris as CEO since 2009.
In this interview, Dr. Vlasuk talks about Sirtris' perspective for Sirtuin activators, its organization , and the key to success as a biotech company.
